This is as significant as a development competition fixture gets. Saracens currently sit third in Pool B, with qualification hopes gone after our disappointing recent defeat to Leicester at the StoneX, making this a game of pride going into the final pool round. Meanwhile, Northampton secured their semi-final spot last weekend with a resounding 49-21 victory over Newcastle Red Bulls, meaning this game will determine their pool ranking in the final four — and crucially, whether they face Leicester or another opponent at the semi-final stage. I know we are 5 points behind Northampton, but even a 5 point victory would not be enough, as we would’ve won 1 fewer game than the Saints. This is a long preview, strap yourselves in folks and grab a cuppa or two. Maybe a biscuit if you fancy. | TheSaracens.com : Unofficial Saracens news, views and message boards.
