Youngest member of Wallabies ruled out of World Cup

NEWS: The Wallabies' Max Jorgensen has been ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup due to a fractured fibula.

The 19-year-old Jorgensen, the youngest member of Eddie Jones' squad, suffered the injury during training on Wednesday and was sent for scans that confirmed the fracture.

Wallabies head coach Eddie Jones said: "Firstly we are all feeling for Max. He's a good young man who has a massive future ahead of him in the gold jersey.

"He's worked really hard to come back from a serious knee injury and was training exceptionally well to put his hand up for selection.

"We wish him a speedy and successful recovery and look forward to seeing him out on the field as soon as possible."

A medical replacement will be named in due course.
