Poll: Pick your Bok back three!

Who do you want to see line up for the Springboks in a new-look back three to strike against Wales at Twickenham?

The Boks face Wales at Twickenham on 22 June in their first match since winning the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.

An exciting 35-man squad has been named, including 11 uncapped players.

Players based in Europe, Ireland and the UK are not available for the match which falls outside the Test window, neither are players from the Bulls who advanced to the URC semi-finals.

In the absence of injured fullback Damian Willemse, and Wille le Roux’s involvement in the URC, Aphelele Fassi could make his first start for the Springboks since 2022.

Quan Horn’s standout season with the Lions has also placed the 22-year-old as a genuine option at fullback.

The candidates to be selected at wing include World Cup winner Makazole Mapimpi and the uncapped Edwill van der Merwe.

The inclusion of Ethan Hooker at centre could see Jesse Kriel’s experience preferred out wide.
