The Sharks will be without injured Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth for the Challenge Cup round of 16 clash with Zebre in Durban on Sunday.

Etzebeth suffered a rib injury in the Vodacom URC match against Edinburgh last weekend and has been left out of the matchday squad for Sunday’s match entirely.

21-year-old Corne Rahl, who replaced Etzebeth at half-time, will start alongside Emile van Heerden in the second row.

The Sharks have been boosted by the availability of Vincent Koch, as the Springbok tighthead starts after overcoming the illness that forced him to withdraw from the team to face Edinburgh.

There is just one further change to the starting lineup, as Ethan Hooker rotates into the midfield in place of Francois Venter.
