Boks clean up at SA Sport Awards

Siya Kolisi was named South Africa’s Sport Star of the Year and the People's Choice Athlete of the Year as the Springboks were honoured at the SA Sport Awards on Sunday.

The World Cup-winning Springboks grabbed six awards in total during the evening at Sun City on Sunday, where SA Rugby received a further two awards.

This year's most coveted awards, the Sport Star of the Year and the People's Choice Athlete of the Year Awards were both won by Bok captain Kolisi.

The Springboks were named Team of the Year, while Bok lock Eben Etzebeth earned the Sportsman of the Year award.

Manie Libbok was named Newcomer of the Year and Jacques Nienaber completed the set with the Coach of the Year award.

SA Rugby president Mark Alexander was recognised with the Sport Administrator of the Year award, after the governing body was named National Federation of the Year.
